Much like the borough she shares a name with, Brooklyn Gabby has serious style—just one look at her lengthy resume of modeling gigs serves as unquestionable proof. The 18-year-old has collaborated with some of the world’s most prominent fashion brands (Guess; Terez; Fashion Nova), and she has walked in New York, Los Angeles and Miami Fashion Week several times. Gabby is also a popular creator on TikTok with over 553,000 followers, where she regularly posts vlogs, tutorials and dances. As the model pursues her career full speed ahead, she slows down for a moment to discuss what got her to where she is today.

When did you start modeling?

I started modeling when I was 12 years old. I’ve been doing this for six years now.

How would you describe your personal style?

Somewhat edgy and different. I like to wear what I love and feel comfortable in, not just what’s super trendy at that moment.

What was it like collaborating with Terez?

It was very fun. I was excited to be able to work with such a creative company.

How did it feel to be a cover model for Chick NYC Magazine?

Being a cover girl for Chick NYC was such a blessing. I was honored to have been chosen to do that for them. They are such sweet, amazing people who pour love and positivity into everyone they come near. Working with them was amazing.

What was it like walking the runway for Chick NYC during New York Fashion Week?

It was a total blast. I was surrounded by people who made the experience so incredible. I was a little nervous because I had to open the show with two other girls [Bria Michelle and Paige Hyland]. It was a little stressful, but I was so honored, and it was so much fun!

What is your biggest accomplishment to date?

I would say my biggest accomplishment would be probably the new campaign I’m working on with a company. I can’t wait to share more details!

What’s the key to being successful on Instagram or TikTok?

The key to success in anything you do is hard work and dedication. You have to put tons of energy into your passion. It won’t happen overnight, nor is it easy. If you really love something and want it to work, you have to give it your all.

What advice do you have for aspiring models?

Just be you and strive to post content that’s original and creative!

How do you use your platform to make a difference in the world?

I use my platform that I’ve been blessed with to instill positivity in those who follow me. I want to reach as high as I can and give everyone a big hug of kindness. So many people need love, and Instagram is such an easy way to show it.

What are your future plans?

I don’t know what the future holds for me. So much has changed since I first started. I never imagined that companies would ask to work with me and send me products, or that I would be able to walk in Fashion Week. I’ve been blessed with so many amazing opportunities, and I‘m excited for what’s to come.
